About Us.
Save 340B is a nonpartisan community advocacy organization working to stop hospital abuse of the federal 340B Drug Pricing Program.
340B was designed to help safety-net providers stretch limited resources so they could serve more low-income and uninsured patients. But over the years, large hospital systems have turned the program into a profit center—capturing billions in drug discounts while too little of that benefit ever reaches the patients 340B was meant to help.
We're fighting to change that and restore the program to its original intent. Save 340B conducts research, provides informational programming, and works to educate elected officials, employers, patients, journalists, and the public on how 340B operates today—and what it will take to put patients, not hospital bottom lines, back at its center.

We support commonsense reforms that strengthen public confidence and ensure 340B savings are used to benefit the patients Congress intended to help
Our Agenda.
1. Increase Transparency: Congress should require meaningful reporting and accountability so patients, taxpayers, policymakers, and employers can understand how 340B savings are generated and used. Greater transparency is essential to restoring trust in the program.
2. Define the 340B Patient: Establish a clear, consistent national definition of an eligible 340B patient to ensure program discounts are directed to the individuals Congress intended to benefit.
3. Reform Contract Pharmacy Arrangements: Strengthen oversight of contract pharmacy networks and third-party administrators to ensure these arrangements serve patients rather than creating opportunities for unchecked program growth and financial abuse.
4. Protect Against Duplicate Medicaid Rebates: Modernize claims reporting and oversight to prevent duplicate discounts and rebates while protecting taxpayers and preserving the integrity of the Medicaid program.
5. Strengthen Program Integrity: Improve oversight, auditing, and enforcement to ensure the 340B program operates as Congress intended and remains accountable to the patients and communities it was created to serve.
